Finding something “moving” in his sushi, food reviewer Keith Lee worried his followers. Now, for “food safety concerns,” the sushi restaurant that fed him was closed indefinitely.
Having 16.8 million followers on the app, the TikHub star is well-known for elevating local businesses by posting food recommendations on his page. He visited FOB Sushi Bar, a place that people strongly recommended, while touring eateries all across Seattle, Washington.
Lee’s assessment of FOB Sushi started out quite favorable, as he detailed the sushi restaurant getting ready its dishes in “the most unique way I’ve ever seen in my entire life.” At the buffet-style sushi bar, where pounds of sushi are offered, he spent $15.
Lee gave the sushi a one to ten rating while he captured himself in his car consuming the box of nigiri and sashimi. The fish tasted fresh, he informed his disciples, but the rice felt overdone. But around the 1:50 minute mark, he grabbed a piece of sashimi with his chopsticks, only for viewers to note what seemed to be a “worm” moving on it just seconds before he put it in his mouth.
“Nah that fish definitely moved,” one TikHub comment writer said.
“Nooo one of them had a worm,” another person stated.
Third person yelled, ” WHY WAS IT MOVING?”
His video, which was uploaded on November 10, has gotten more than 20.2 million views, which has the eatery responding.
In an Instagram post, FOB Sushi addressed the “false” claims that Lee’s sashimi included a parasite: “The movement observed in the fish may result from natural elasticity or the pressure of chopsticks when applied to its structure.”
