NFL suspends Bills' Von Miller for four games

Through the first three weeks of the NFL season, the Buffalo Bills seemed to be on top of the world, and Von Miller's remarkable comeback helped greatly explain why.

Then the loss to Baltimore on Sunday night appeared to ground everything back to earth.

Miller broke the league's personal behavior rules, so he was suspended Tuesday afternoon for four games.

First revealed by NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, the announcement will force Miller to be eligible to seek reinstatement on October 28th.

Once that transpires, Buffalo will be playing the Seattle Seahawks in Week 8.

Miller was suspended by the NFL back in 2013 for six games under their substance-abuse policy, a breach the linebacker said did not follow from a positive test.

Although the official circumstances has not been clear-cut as to why Miller was suspended by the NFL, it is a significant loss to a Bills club sorely lacking elite defensive talent.

With a forearm injury, All-Pro cornerback Taron Johnson has been sidelined much of the start of the season; Matt Milano is anticipated to miss the whole regular season owing to a torn triceps injury.

Miller's suspension gives Buffalo's trying start to the season another twist.
