Bengals Suffer Devastating Injury Blow to Promising Defender

The Cincinnati Bengals simply cannot enjoy any kind of luck at the cornerback this year.

Promising rookie cornerback DJ Turner dropped with an injury during Sunday night’s loss to the Los Angeles Chargers, remarkably defending a pass attempt but not returning to the game.
Now, with a broken clavicle, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport has indicated Turner would probably miss the remainder of the season.

Second-round pick in 2023 Turner emerged to take the stage while Cam Taylor-Britt and others battled. Although nobody else outside Trey Hendrickson has been absolutely outstanding on the defense this year, the Michigan product was displaying flashes of long-term starting excellence.

Turner’s climb now pauses, and the Bengals will have to look for solutions at a position already lost to a season-ending injury—impressive former first-rower Dax Hill.
